International Day of Prayer for Peace -- 2012
This year's observance of the International Day of Prayer for Peace will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday September 23 at the Manassas First A.M.E. Church, 1313 South Grant Street, Manassas, Virginia.  This year's gathering follows close on the heels of violent acts that underscore the necessity for sharing our spiritual convictions in unified prayers for peace.  The gathering is open to everyone in the community.  This is a time for deep understanding, mutual respect and committed involvement.  We especially invite communities of every faith tradition to join us for the profound spiritual experience of shared voices praying for divine guidance in the face of international hostility, political confrontation, local intolerance, domestic abuse, teenage bullying and personal struggle.  Please join with us in praying for peace.

Gainesville Magisterial District & the Prince William County Park Authority invite you to a day of service at Silver Lake Park Saturday, October 13.  Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you are not afraid to get dirty. All activities will take place outside. Lunch will be provided.
